Jobbeschreibung
Project overview
An international company in the energy sector, operating the electricity transmission grid, is looking for an IT Solution Lead to join its Geospatial Product Team within Grid Solutions IT as the technical lead for strategic software products and platforms.
As IT Solution Lead, you act as the technical reference within the team. You bridge business needs and technology, ensuring the successful design, integration, maintenance and continuous improvement of both custom-built and commercial software solutions that support critical asset management activities. Working closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, developers, testers, Scrum Masters, suppliers and business stakeholders, you help deliver scalable, secure and future-proof solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead within the product team and take ownership of all technical aspects of the product lifecycle.
- Challenge, validate, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Contribute to solution architecture and ensure technical solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements while adhering to internal IT, security, and technology standards.
- Coordinate with internal functional and technical platforms throughout both delivery and operational phases.
- Provide technical expertise on software components and advise on technology choices, resource needs, and IT budget estimates.
- Lead the technical implementation and configuration of geospatial products.
- Lead the build, deployment, and operational support of custom-developed components integrated in the geospatial platform, primarily based on Microsoft technologies such as .NET.
- Manage the integration and adaptation of off-the-shelf (OTS) solutions within the broader IT landscape.
- Perform fit-gap analyses and contribute to technical evaluations, RFI/RFP processes, and software selection activities.
- Support incident, problem, and maintenance management by monitoring suppliers, SLA/KPI performance, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to product roadmaps, supplier management, license discussions, and SLA definition in collaboration with the Product Owner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent through experience. Experience within the electricity sector is considered a plus.
- Proven experience in software development, software integration, and/or solution management.
- Proven hands-on expertise in designing, integrating, and operating enterprise GIS solutions, with strong practical experience across the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem (including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, and relevant APIs/SDKs) and complementary geospatial data-integration tooling such as Safe Software FME for spatial data transformation, automation, and interoperability. Experience with Vertigis products such as Vertigis Studio and Vertigis Integrator is considered a plus.
- Good understanding of Microsoft technologies such as .NET, Visual Studio, and SQL Server.
- Proven experience in creating functional designs and data modelling.
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud technologies, including Microsoft Azure, containerization technologies (e.g. Docker), Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with fit-gap analyses, requirements definition, and software selection processes.
- Solid understanding of software architecture principles, security standards, compliance requirements, and IT service management processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and engaging with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, autonomous, customer-focused, and collaborative.
- Fluent in Dutch and/or French, with a strong command of English.
