Project overview

Mission Description

As Finance Lead, you will steer the design of the target financial model, unifying accounting structures currently operating on two distinct accounting systems and multiple legal entities. Working alongside partner consulting firms from Phase 0, you will design the target chart of accounts, closing schedule, intercompany/consolidation frameworks, internal control, and ensure alignment with IFRS 18. You will also validate the financial assumptions of the Business Case and the Finance specifications for the integrator tender.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

Analysis schema of the scope of legal entities and branches with their accounting and statutory impacts.

Design of the unified Chart of Accounts: principles, segments, reporting hierarchies, mapping of old charts, and IFRS 18 presentation rules.

Intercompany, consolidation, and multi-currency (GBP/EUR) accounting model.

Design of the target closing schedule (from monthly to consolidated annual).

Core Finance system design: ledgers, legal entities, and business units.

Framework for financial controls, fraud prevention, and segregation of duties (SoD) rules.

Mapping of regulatory, tax, electronic invoicing, and reporting obligations by country.

Validation/Sign-off of Level-3 Finance processes, deviations from standard, and Finance requirements of the Tender Pack.

Profile Sought & Essential Criteria (Weighting: 3x)

Qualification: Certified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or recognized international equivalent).

Experience: 12+ years in finance, financial control, or finance transformation within international multi-entity groups.

ERP Background: Finance Lead role on at least one full ERP implementation/selection from A to Z (from scoping to go-live).

Financial Design: Hands-on experience designing charts of accounts, company structures, and multi-currency/multi-reference closing processes.

Accounting Standards: In-depth mastery of IFRS standards (including IFRS 18), UK GAAP, Belgian GAAP, and multi-currency accounting (GBP/EUR).

Process Methodology: Experience in designing processes using a "Fit-to-Standard" approach on Cloud ERP.

Languages: Native English AND fluent business French (oral and written).

Desirable Criteria

Experience in post-merger financial integration.

Knowledge of electronic invoicing (FR/BE), VAT, and OECD Pillar Two rules.

Experience in accounting automation (STP, AI applied to reconciliation and closing).
