FinOps Expert (Cloud Financial Management)

Project overview

Contract FinOps Expert to support two application product lines in their FinOps journey, bridging finance, engineering, and operations to improve cloud cost visibility, budgeting/forecasting, governance, and cost optimization across multi-cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP). The role will implement FinOps strategies and tooling (including IBM Cloudability), produce reporting/insights (Power BI/Excel), and drive financial accountability and recharge mechanisms, working hybrid in Lisbon (2 days/week onsite) with English C1.

Responsibilities

• We are seeking of FinOps Expert Service to join Group Operations to support two application product lines in their FinOps journey. The main Service mission is to optimize our cloud financial management and ensure cost efficiency across our cloud services.
• The Service will be responsible for bridge the gap between finance, engineering, and operations by implementing best practices for cloud cost management, budgeting, and forecasting. The Service will promote financial accountability and transparency within our cloud infrastructure.
• Implement FinOps strategies, policies, and best practices aligned to Group standards to control cloud spending.
• Service with AXA GO Products on product management and product finance processes and recharging mechanisms
• Service across product, engineering and architecture teams to identify cost optimizations while not endangering quality of service
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud costs and usage across multiple cloud platforms to drive cost visibility and transparency of Cloud costs across the product lines
• Provide regular reports and insights on cloud spend, trends, and anomalies to stakeholders
• Expertise in Cloud operations and/or financial management, expertise with cloud-based architectures, cloud provider tools, financial and systems for budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization
• Expertise of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their billing structures.
• Certification from Cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and/or FinOps Foundation
• Conduct and present analysis of complex data and translating the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.
• Expertise of Microsoft Office Suite & Power BI required (extensive expertise of Excel required)
