Freelance Assignment; BI Consultant

Project overview

At emagine, we are seeking an experienced BI consultant for a partner to join their BI team and take responsibility for the operation, troubleshooting, and development of their BI platform.

The assignment requires hands-on work with current solutions as well as solid experience with Microsoft Fabric to support future data and BI strategies.

Work mode and team:

The consultant will join a BI team with five to six colleagues and must be able to work independently as well as in collaboration with the team's specialists. The role involves operation and maintenance of existing solutions, which requires an ability to understand and troubleshoot existing code and models. Communication with both technical specialists and business users must be possible in Danish and English.

• Daily operation and monitoring of BI and Power BI solutions
• Troubleshooting and handling of operational issues
• Development and maintenance of our SQL Server Data Warehouse
• Development of tables, views, stored procedures, and SQL queries
• Development and maintenance of semantic models in Tabular Editor
• DAX, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Development and maintenance of Power BI reports
• Development of solutions in Microsoft Fabric
• Sparring on Fabric architecture, best practices, and use cases
• Dialogue with the business regarding requirements, KPIs, and reporting needs

Project details

Physical presence three days a week in Silkeborg, the rest remote. Initially, you will primarily need to be on-site.
