Our client is a family-owned SME active in project development and real estate in the South-West Flanders region. You will be part of an entrepreneurial environment with short decision lines, open communication, and plenty of room for initiative.

Your new role

As Finance Manager, you will take on broad financial responsibility for the various projects and activities of the organization. You will be responsible for the preparation and monitoring of long-term financial planning and will oversee the cash flow and available investment space per project. Additionally, you will handle the application and follow-up of loans and financing and ensure correct financial monitoring of the various projects. You will monitor financial priorities, co-manage the operational accounting aspects, and liaise with external financial partners.

As a financial sparring partner, you will work directly with the managing directors and translate financial insights into well-founded business decisions. You will have a lot of autonomy and scope to proactively contribute to the further development of the organization.

• Experience in finance, for example as Finance Manager, Business Controller, Financial Controller, Finance Business Partner, or a comparable role.
• Experience with long-term financial planning, cash flow, and preferably loans and financing.
• Experience in real estate, project development, or construction is a strong asset.
• You are analytical and financially strong, but at the same time pragmatic and hands-on.
• You are communicative, proactive, and assertive and feel comfortable in an entrepreneurial SME environment.
• You dare to take responsibility independently and enjoy acting as a sparring partner for the managing directors.
• Freelance collaboration with a target rate around €650-€800 per day, depending on experience.
• 3 to 5 days per week negotiable.
• A broad financial role with a lot of autonomy and responsibility. · Direct collaboration with the managing directors.
