Freelance Financial Controller

Project overview

Freelance assignment to strengthen financial control during the year-end process.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Assisting with year-end closing and reporting under both local GAAP and IFRS
• Supporting the Tax Manager with the Corporate Income Tax (CIT) calculation
• Handling audit requests for entities in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg (3 companies)
• Review statutory financial statements across all in-scope companies
• Preparing quarterly Board of Directors reporting, including local GAAP trial balances for 7 entities
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a financial controller
• Solid grasp of Belgian corporate income tax and VAT regulations
• Sound understanding of local GAAP reporting obligations
• IFRS knowledge as a strong advantage
• Experience in a multinational matrix organisation
• Familiarity with ERP systems, SAP considered a plus
• Proficient in general IT tools and financial software applications
• Fluent in Dutch and English
