Freelance German-speaking SAP Pharma Product Owner - Business Expert

Project overview

We’re looking for a Business Consultant who understands pharmaceutical processes and can help business and SAP teams work together.

Our client is building a new pharmaceutical testing and small-batch production facility in north Germany. Alongside the building work, they are putting licences, GMP procedures and operational processes in place.

Their pharmacists know the business but need help explaining and documenting what they need from SAP. Your role will be to ask the right questions, work through the detail and turn those needs into clear requirements for the SAP team.

This is a business-facing role. You won’t be expected to configure or implement SAP, but you should understand ERP projects. S/4HANA experience would be particularly useful.

The team is working towards go-live next summer and needs someone who can get involved quickly and help shape the processes for the new facility.

• Run workshops with pharmacists, business stakeholders and the SAP team.
• Expertise within SAP PP/PI and discrete and master recipe experience
• Review processes onsite and help document workflows and SOPs.
• Identify gaps and help people find answers and agree on solutions.
• Bring in the right specialists for topics such as storage, security, toxic materials and contamination prevention.
• Turn business needs into clear requirements and user stories.
• Help prioritise work and keep things moving within a Scrum team.
• Strong German language skills – essential.
• Pharmaceutical business process and GMP experience.
• Experience bridging the gap between business and IT.
• SAP/ERP project experience, preferably with S/4HANA.
• A background in business consulting, business analysis or product ownership.
• Someone proactive who takes ownership and helps people reach decisions.
• Start: ASAP.
• Contract: Six months initially, with potential to extend.
• Commitment: Five days per week.
• Location: Hamburg.
• Onsite: Four days per week for the first two to three weeks, then three to four days every two weeks.
