Freelance Payroll Officer

Project overview

As a freelance payroll officer, you will work within the payroll team of the client's HR department in Brussels.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Calculate, check, and process monthly salaries up to and including payment
• Submit legal declarations such as social security and withholding tax within the set deadlines
• Perform and follow up on checks and make adjustments for changes in rules or operations
• Implement, test, and validate legal and internal adjustments in SAP HR
• Collaborate with analysts, HR colleagues, and teams for social regulations, reward, pensions, and HR business, also within payroll projects
• Plan your own work and report problems to the team lead in a timely manner
• 2 to 5 years of practical experience with payroll
• Experience with independently processing salaries and declarations
• Knowledge of and experience with SAP HR (SAP HCM), whereby experience with other SAP modules does not count
• Fluent command of Dutch, French, and English, spoken and written
• Strong command of MS Office, particularly Excel, as well as HR systems and a case management tool
• Accurate, analytical, and independent work attitude
• Able to work flawlessly under deadlines and resolve deviations independently
• Customer-oriented and stress-resistant team player with an understanding of organizational operations
