Freelance Steam Turbine Site Manager - Major Power Generation Project

Project overview

We're currently supporting a leading international energy company on a large-scale power generation project in Germany and are looking to speak with experienced Steam Turbine Site Managers for a long-term freelance assignment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all steam turbine installation and site activities
• Coordinate mechanical subcontractors and specialist vendors
• Supervise erection, alignment and commissioning of steam turbine equipment
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and site procedures
• Monitor project schedules, progress and milestones
• Lead site meetings and provide regular progress reporting
• Support testing, commissioning and handover activities
• Resolve technical and construction issues on site

• Extensive experience as a Steam Turbine Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Lead Mechanical Site Manager
• Experience on power generation, combined cycle, thermal, biomass, waste-to-energy or industrial energy projects
• Strong knowledge of steam turbine installation, alignment and commissioning
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors on large construction sites
• Fluent English required
• German language skills beneficial but not essential
• Previous experience working on freelance or contract assignments preferred

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the on-site installation, erection, commissioning and delivery of steam turbine systems, ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

Working as the key site representative, you will coordinate contractors, supervise installation activities, manage commissioning interfaces and act as the primary point of contact between engineering, construction and project management teams.
