Front-end development with modern front-end libraries and frameworks, particularly React. Specifically complex backoffice components.

Assignment Description

The realization of the new front-end part (React) to be developed for the new Selection Decisions Register. This will be an interactive backoffice application that makes it easy to manage selection decisions and their components. The application is part of a product portfolio where the frontend is currently primarily developed with Angular. We expect an experienced React developer to ensure best practices from experience within the new application.

Because you work in a scrum team that also performs regular maintenance on an existing backoffice product portfolio, you can also contribute to this. This can involve converting various Angular applications to React.

Background of the assignment

Selection decisions are currently published in PDF format (as found at: https://www.nationaalaarchief.nl/archiveren/zoeken?activeTab=archive&qf_type_item_term_name=Selectielijst&type_item_term_name=Selectielijst) and in their current form are only accessible to the professionals who prepare them. The new Archives Act, which comes into effect next year (2027), imposes additional requirements on accessibility for citizens, necessitating a more user-friendly solution.
