Function

We are looking for a Full Stack Data Platform Engineer to strengthen our Data Platform team. The ideal candidate has a passion for building and managing cloud-native data platforms, possesses a strong engineering mentality, and has practical experience with infrastructure, automation, and software development.

• This position can be filled with both a permanent contract (employee status) and a freelance contract

• Strong knowledge of Python and Shell scripting for automation, tooling, and platform engineering
• Practical experience with Terraform and the principles of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Thorough knowledge of the AWS ecosystem, including networking, IAM, compute, storage, and other essential cloud services
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes (Kubernetes/K8s) and Amazon EKS, including implementing, managing, and troubleshooting containerized applications
• Good knowledge of Git (preferably Bitbucket) and experience with designing, developing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Good knowledge of Snowflake administration, including the security model, role-based access control (RBAC), access rights, resource hierarchy, and object lifecycle management
• Experience with setting up and managing Snowflake resources via Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), with insight into automated environment provisioning, rights management, and platform governance
• Thorough knowledge of software engineering best practices, including version control, code reviews, testing, automation, and operational excellence
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment

• Experience with Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms, DevOps practices, and platform engineering
