Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid)
Type: Contract to Hire
Client: Leading financial firm
$60
$65 per hour on W2, depending on experience
No C2C
Partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers, and delivery professionals
Code, test, and debug new and existing applications to solve complex business problems
Help deliver innovative products, services, and customer experiences in an agile environment

Required Skills

Primary Skills

Build applications using current coding practices, modern design patterns, and sound architectural principles
Develop high quality, well documented, and efficient code that meets company standards
Work with product owners to define feature stories and with tech leads on technical design
Write unit tests, integration tests, and functional automation
Research and resolve issues found by QA or product support
Stay current on emerging technologies and share feedback and ideas with the team
Analyze data and solve problems of varying scope
Strong hands-on experience with React.js (hooks, state management, component-based architecture)
Backend development experience with Node.js (Express/NestJS) and RESTful API design
Experience with Spring Boot and Java
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript across the full stack
Experience designing and integrating REST/GraphQL APIs and microservices
Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, API Gateway, Lambda)
Docker containerization and deployment to AWS ECS or EKS
CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments in AWS
Understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts (VPC, IAM, load balancing, auto scaling)
Database experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other NoSQL, including query optimization
Monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch
