I'm reaching out regarding a Full Stack Developer (Kotlin/TypeScript) contract supporting a major UK Government transformation programme focused on replacing Legacy probation services with modern digital platforms.

The role will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering new capabilities that support the decomposition of Legacy systems, helping to design, build and evolve scalable services that underpin the future architecture of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full stack applications using Kotlin and TypeScript.
• Build and enhance cloud-native services and APIs within an AWS environment.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, secure and resilient solutions.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, product teams and stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support the migration and modernisation of Legacy applications and services.
• Champion engineering best practices, code quality, testing and continuous delivery.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience developing with Kotlin and TypeScript.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, testing strategies and DevOps principles.
• Experience delivering within large-scale digital transformation programmes is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Active SC Clearance.
