Functional Consultant SAP Retail /CAR/FMS/

Project overview

As part of a transformation and evolution program for its Retail information systems, our client, an international player in the luxury sector, is looking for a Functional SAP Retail Consultant to strengthen its SAP Center of Excellence.

The consultant will be involved in the support, continuous improvement, and deployment of SAP Retail solutions within an international and omnichannel environment.

The mission is notably part of an OMS (Order Management System) deployment program, with significant challenges related to order management, inventory, deliveries, and product availability.

The consultant will work in collaboration with business teams, SAP functional experts, integration teams, and external partners, while ensuring compliance with the SAP Retail Core Model.

• Work on SAP Retail, SAP FMS, and SAP CAR solutions.
• Analyze business needs related to Retail operations and Back Office processes.
• Support the evolution of inventory, order, and delivery management processes.
• Ensure the consistency of solutions with the global Core Model.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications (FSD).
• Order Management and Omnichannel Processes
• Support the evolution of OMS processes.
• Participate in the management of e-commerce and omnichannel orders.
• Analyze order flows executed from stores or e-commerce warehouses.
• Contribute to optimizing item and stock availability.
• Participate in marketplace and e-concession processes.
• Ensure consistency of flows between different distribution channels.
• Inventory Management and Store Operations
• Store Receiving: reception of goods in stores from distribution centers, other stores, or suppliers.
• Store-to-Store: inter-store, intra-company, and inter-company transfers.
• Store-to-DC / Vendor Returns: returns of goods to warehouses and suppliers.
• Store Goods Movement: stock movements, locations, stock types, and movement reasons.
• Physical Inventory: physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Omnichannel Article Availability: availability of items and stocks across different channels.
• Functional Support and Evolutionary Maintenance
• Provide Level 3 (L3) functional support.
• Analyze and resolve complex incidents related to orders, deliveries, billing, and stock availability.
• Perform flow and interface analysis.
• Handle change and evolution requests.
• Collaborate with technical teams on developments and fixes.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of existing solutions.
• SAP Integration and Interfaces
• Collaborate with integration teams on exchanges between SAP and third-party systems.
• Participate in defining and monitoring interface requirements.
• Work on flows using in particular:

• Analyze integration anomalies and contribute to their resolution.
• Testing, Deployment, and Documentation
• Prepare functional and integration test scenarios.
• Conduct tests and support user acceptance testing (UAT) phases.
• Participate in data migration activities.
• Support OMS cutover and deployment phases.
• Contribute to user training.
• Write and maintain functional specifications, process documents, test cases, and user guides.
