ILS Engineer for the Defense Industry – Linköping

We are now looking for an ILS Engineer at Level 3 for an exciting consulting assignment with our client in the defense and aerospace industry in Linköping. Here you will have an important role in ensuring effective, reliable, and long-term sustainable maintenance solutions for the Gripen C/D/E/F fighter aircraft systems.

About the assignment

As an ILS Engineer (Integrated Logistics Support), you work to ensure that the aircraft's various systems are effective to use and maintain, focusing on high availability and low lifecycle costs.

You will work at an overall aircraft level from a maintenance perspective and collaborate closely with other ILS engineers, project managers, and maintenance planners. The role involves analyzing needs, identifying improvement opportunities, and translating technical insights into concrete solutions that contribute to an effective whole.

Responsibilities

Analyze maintenance needs and customer feedback to identify improvements that increase availability and reduce lifecycle costs.

Work with change management of maintenance needs and associated resources.

Participate in the development, analysis, and follow-up of requirements to ensure that technical solutions meet the customer's and the operation's needs.

Coordinate and support maintenance-related issues between the aircraft's various subsystems.

Participate in studies and development work related to future aircraft maintenance.

Requirements

To be considered for the assignment, we expect you to have:

An engineering degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Experience equivalent to consultant level 3 (3–7 years of experience).

Experience in technical work within industry, defense, system development, or similar operations.

Experience in analysis, requirements management, or maintenance-related issues.

Ability and interest to summarize and communicate complex technical information clearly and understandably.

Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Personal qualities
