IMS Administrator on Mainframe in Paris

Project overview

Context of the mission

As part of its activities, our client is looking for an IMS Mainframe Expert to join the MWZ (Transactional Engines) team, based in Paris and Bordeaux.

The consultant will be responsible for ensuring the operational maintenance, performance, security, and evolution of IMS environments on Mainframe, while supporting technical teams and projects related to transactional engines.

Main Missions

We are looking for a technical expert with solid experience in IMS Mainframe environments, mastering in particular:

• Sense of service and customer orientation.
• Rigor and autonomy.
• Analytical skills and ability to resolve complex incidents.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team in a demanding technical environment.
• Administration and operational maintenance of IMS: ensure the availability and stability of environments, manage obsolescence, vulnerabilities, technical evolutions, and optimizations.
• Exploitation and product expertise: perform installations, handle alerts and anomalies, manage escalations, participate in crisis management, and provide technical support to teams.
• Project support: secure projects involving transactional environments and ensure their proper integration into the Mainframe ecosystem.
• Technological watch: monitor the evolution of the IMS product and propose improvements adapted to the infrastructure needs.
• International coordination: collaborate closely with the service center based in the Czech Republic.
• IMS on Mainframe: in-depth and recognized expertise.
• Administration and analysis tools: AMI Ops, Fault Analyzer, and MainView.
• Sysplex architectures and z/OS system operation.
• Knowledge of z/OS Connect, APIs, WebServices, CICS, and CTG would be a real asset.
• Professional English mandatory for exchanges with international teams.
