Position Summary

We are seeking a Computer Support Associate to provide day-to-day operational and technical support within a computing environment. This role supports end users by maintaining desktop hardware, troubleshooting software issues, managing printers, assisting with server and network support activities, and ensuring smooth operation of IT services. The position combines basic technical expertise with administrative responsibilities and follows established procedures to resolve routine issues.

• Duration: 1+ Years Contract
• Location: Waterloo, IA/ Onsite
• Shift: 3rd shift position (10:30 pm to 7:00 am
• Provide operational support for desktop computers, software applications, printers, conference room technology, and related IT equipment.
• Perform computer imaging, software deployments, hardware setup, and device configuration.
• Manage and resolve service requests and incident tickets through the organization's IT service management system.
• Assist with asset lifecycle management, including deployment, inventory tracking, relocation, replacement, and disposal of IT equipment.
• Maintain printer operations by replacing toner, pickup rollers, and other consumable components.
• Support server and network teams through hands-on assistance and basic troubleshooting activities.
• Follow documented knowledge base articles and established procedures to diagnose and resolve end-user issues.
• Update and maintain asset records, inventory databases, and operational documentation.
• Create, update, and maintain records such as:
• Contact lists
• Process logs
• Incident and problem reports
• Customer information records
• Shipping documentation
• Inventory and maintenance records
• Facilities-related service requests
• Monitor routine processes and identify operational issues requiring attention.
• Resolve standard problems using approved procedures and escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Coordinate routine equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Order, track, and maintain inventory of IT supplies and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and support teams via email and other collaboration tools.
• Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies, standards, and security guidelines.
• Understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and IT support fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and standard business software tools.
• Ability to navigate intranet, internet, and enterprise applications.
• Basic knowledge of IT security concepts, policies, and best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and work independently on routine tasks.
• One (1) year or more of IT support, help desk, desktop support, or technical support experience.
• Experience with ticketing systems, asset management tools, and hardware deployment processes.
• entry level candidates with relevant coursework, internships, or technical training are encouraged to apply.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; or
• Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant work experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
