Innovation Consultant (Interim)

Project overview

The consultant develops new societal projects from the initial exploration to a proven pilot.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Investigating societal frictions and needs among members and target groups
• Identifying promising solution directions and translating them into concrete project concepts
• Testing critical assumptions through user research, prototypes, and experiments
• Combining qualitative insights with quantitative validation
• Setting up and organizing a pilot together with internal and external partners
• Preparing a substantiated recommendation regarding implementation, scaling, transfer, or termination
• Working and thinking level at HBO+/WO level, preferably supplemented with a background in innovation, industrial design, service design, or business design
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably between 5 and 8 years
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience in independently going through various innovation phases
• Experience with design thinking and an experimental way of working
• Skill in independently designing, executing, and analyzing exploratory user research
• Project management skills sufficient to set up a pilot with multiple parties
• Persuasiveness and ability to create support without formal mandate
• Affinity with societal themes and with collaborating with members, volunteers, and partners
