Interim M&A / Corporate Development Manager

Project overview

As an interim M&A / Corporate Development Manager, you will support the buy-and-build strategy of a private equity portfolio company.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Identify and assess potential acquisition candidates
• Build and maintain an active deal pipeline
• Conduct market analyses and target screenings
• Coordinate the entire acquisition process from LOI to closing
• Manage external advisors in corporate finance, legal, tax, and due diligence
• Guide discussions between sellers and their advisors
• Prepare investment proposals and documentation for the board
• Analyze and test business cases and valuations
• Support strategic growth and value creation programs
• Prepare analyses of the market and competition
• Identify new opportunities for growth, markets, and propositions
• Assist with strategic planning and the budget cycle
• Prepare board meetings and shareholder reports
• Participate in the preparation of future exits
• Coordinate with management teams of portfolio and target companies
• Report to the CEO, CFO, shareholders, and the Supervisory Board
• Experience gained within M&A, Corporate Development, Private Equity, or Investment Banking
• Demonstrable experience with acquisition processes and deal execution
• Well-developed financial and analytical skills
• Experience with financial modeling, valuations, and preparing business cases
• Excellent project management skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, entrepreneurial, and results-driven attitude
• Fluent command of Dutch and English
• Preferably experience with buy-and-build strategies within private equity portfolio companies
