Interim Senior Financial Accountant

Assignment at a life insurer in Amsterdam, focused on financial administration and month-end and year-end closing.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Coordinate and independently execute the monthly closing
• Check and process journal entries, memo entries, and accruals
• Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheet specifications
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analyze identified discrepancies
• Guide the preparation, review, and finalization of the year-end accounts
• Ensure complete, correct, and timely financial administration
• Identify and resolve deviations and bottlenecks in financial processes
• Coordinate with colleagues from Finance and other departments for a smooth closing
• Proven background as a Senior Financial Accountant, GL Accountant, or in a similar role
• Solid knowledge of month-end closings, general ledger management, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience with year-end accounts and preparing/reviewing financial reconciliations
• Preferably background at a life insurer or other insurance organization
• Solid knowledge of financial reporting and general accounting principles
• Hands-on mentality, accurate, and able to work independently
• Quickly deployable, proactive, and focused on short-term results
