IT Business Analyst [REST API, Digital Banking]

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst for our TITANS freelancers team for a long-term international project, contributing to the development of a digital banking platform.

• the project will be implemented within the Investments team, which develops and expands investment functionalities for web and mobile banking applications

Responsibilities

Project requirements

• gathering, analyzing, specifying, and refining business and technical requirements
• analyzing existing processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
• designing functional and technical solutions based on business requirements
• cooperating on the development and expansion of investment functionalities for the George digital banking platform
• analyzing solutions for web and mobile applications
• designing and documenting system interfaces and integration scenarios
• cooperating on the design and definition of REST API
• analyzing API communication, HTTP protocols, and data structures in JSON format
• preparing detailed functional and technical specifications
• creating and managing User Stories and related project artifacts
• defining and refining acceptance criteria
• preparing process models, diagrams, and visualizations of proposed solutions
• facilitating workshops and technical discussions with business and IT stakeholders
• ensuring common understanding of requirements among business, development, QA, and design teams
• cooperating with developers on the implementation of proposed solutions
• cooperating with testers and QA teams on verifying the correctness of implemented functionalities
• supporting development utilizing Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• analyzing existing system interfaces and application behavior
• using developer tools, such as Chrome DevTools, for analyzing web applications and API communication
• cooperating with external and partner teams
• continuous updating and maintenance of project documentation
• identifying discrepancies between business requirements and technical implementation
• supporting the development team throughout the entire software development lifecycle
• active participation in solution design considering functional, technical, and user requirements
• collaboration possible only on a full-time basis in a hybrid mode ONSITE min. 3 days a week (Bratislava) + REMOTE (or as agreed with the client)
• final remuneration depends on the candidate's experience and the selection process
• min. 5 years of professional experience in IT or banking
• demonstrable practical experience with IT Business Analysis
• experience with gathering, analyzing, and specifying business and technical requirements
• ability to transform business requirements into concrete functional and technical solutions
• experience with designing and documenting IT solutions
• good knowledge of REST API and API communication principles
• ability to analyze and define system interfaces
• knowledge of HTTP protocols
• practical knowledge of the JSON data format
• experience with creating and managing User Stories
• ability to define detailed acceptance criteria
• knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• experience with preparing functional and technical specifications
• experience with project documentation
• ability to analyze solutions for web or mobile applications
• knowledge of process modeling principles and system solutions
• ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders, developers, testers, and designers
• experience with facilitating discussions and clarifying requirements
• strong analytical and organizational skills
• autonomy and ability to take responsibility for assigned analytical outputs
• active knowledge of English (spoken and written)
