Assignment Description

As a Business Consultant, you will translate functional wishes and requirements from the organization into new functionalities or adapt existing functionalities for the purpose of configuring the Service Management Platform ServiceNow used within JIVC. Based on this functional need, you will further elaborate it into one or more stories and place them on the product backlog. Where necessary, you will advise the Product Owner (PO).

In addition, you will actively contribute to adapting/refining stories, actively monitor the coherence of the different stories and functionalities, and where necessary, ask questions and identify deviations. You are able to explain the realized functionality during demos and reviews where necessary. Stories realized by technical consultants will be reviewed and functionally tested by you. You will also take care of test coordination with stakeholders. Based on the realized stories, you will adapt work instructions.

Background of the assignment

Due to the increasing need for ServiceNow functionality within and outside JIVC, the continuation of the ServiceNow DevOps team is necessary.

Determines the IS model and enterprise architecture in accordance with the organization's policy and ensures a secure environment. Makes strategic IS policy decisions for the enterprise, including sourcing strategies.

Proposes, plans, and manages the functional development of the information system (IS) focused on user needs. Aligns the information system with the business strategy within their domain/area. Ensures continuous improvement, taking into account user requirements, service quality, and budgetary constraints.

Manage the development of information and communication technology focused on user needs

Prepare for changes in the information system influenced by technological updates or user needs

Formalize, consolidate, and manage the development of the IS configuration

Evaluate the relevance of information systems for users

Connect the user community and the IS infrastructure

Translate user requirements into functional specifications

Reference Area: A.01 Alignment of information system and business strategy

This assignment is based on the European e-Competence Framework (e-CF). This is a European standard for describing IT competencies and the associated level of responsibility. The eCF profile indicates which competencies and at what level (e-1 to e-5) are expected from the candidate. We expect candidates to clearly demonstrate in their CV that they possess these competencies. This can be done by describing for each relevant assignment or position the role the candidate fulfilled, the associated tasks and responsibilities, and the extent to which these align with the requested eCF competencies and level.

CVs in which the requested eCF competencies cannot be demonstrably found cannot be fully assessed for suitability.

Candidate has at least 3 years of demonstrable work experience with the chosen eCF profile similar role. In addition, the candidate has the following knowledge and experience:

• Education and training- Candidate has a valid ServiceNow System Administration certificate (CSA)
• Application Development- Candidate has experience with the following frameworks Agile Foundation, SAFe, Scrum.
• Process Improvement- Candidate has at least 3 years of recent demonstrable work experience with ITIL at least v3 (Foundation)
• System Integration- Candidate preferably has at least knowledge of the following areas: CSDM, catalog management, request fulfillment.
