Project overview

The professional will strengthen the Knooppunt scrum team within the Digitaal Stelsel Omgevingswet (DSO) program of Rijkswaterstaat.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Building, managing, and optimizing Java components for the Knooppunt
• Designing and building REST APIs
• Utilizing Java and Spring Boot for technical components
• Working with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for containerization and deployment
• Applying security principles and standards
• Checking and validating built APIs, including via Postman
• Contributing to the technical quality, stability, and security of the Knooppunt
• Investigating and resolving technical issues
• Documenting technical solutions and implemented changes
• Coordinating with other specialists in the multidisciplinary scrum team
• Participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospective
• Identifying technical risks and opportunities for improvement
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Java developer with API development
• Minimum 1 year of knowledge and experience in Docker and Kubernetes
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Agile methodologies within a SAFe/Scrum environment
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing REST APIs
• Minimum 1 year of expertise in security
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience with the tools Jira, Postman, Java, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, REST, and Spring Boot
• University or HBO degree, for example in computer science or information science
• Knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML2 is a plus
• Knowledge of Keycloak, OpenLDAP, Envoy, and Istio service mesh is a plus
