Jobbeschreibung

We are looking for a Java Developer to join one of the scrum teams within the Supervision department of the Belastingdienst IV organization. You will be involved in developing, maintaining, and ensuring the continuity of various supervision applications, including migrating them to new hosting platforms like OpenShift and Linux.

Project overview

Job Description

You will be employed as a Java Developer for the development of Web Java applications and web services within the Supervision team of the Belastingdienst IV organization. Together with your colleagues, you will be part of one of the 4 scrum teams within Supervision. In sprints of 2 weeks, the team will deliver a 'shippable product' each time. Specifically, together with colleagues in your scrum team, the product owner, and users, you will work on the (further) development, maintenance, and continuity assurance of various Supervision applications.

With your expertise, in collaboration with your team members, you will deliver a high-quality application that is also maintainable. You will be involved with a diversity of applications with their associated challenges and different ways of developing. One of our biggest challenges at the moment is the migration of the applications to new hosting platforms such as OpenShift and Linux (IAAS) and the associated renewal of used frameworks and libraries.

Background of the assignment

Within the Supervision department, we are working on realizing a digital customer image. Backend systems will unlock data from sources, which we will present in a Java web frontend. We develop and maintain multiple applications for this purpose, which are used in the supervision process of the Belastingdienst. This is used by approximately ten thousand employees. Additional Information

When you, as a supplier, offer a professional to us and they are placed, we will need information from you as a contracting party, including regarding the Wet keten- en inlenersaansprakelijkheid (Chain Liability Act). The 'WKA' aims to prevent abuse in the remittance of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to client. We cover these risks for our clients by means of a blocked account, the G-rekening. This is an account to which a portion of the invoice amount is deposited and from which you can pay payroll taxes and VAT to the Tax Authorities.

The percentage to be deposited depends on whether you have a SNA certification (NEN-4400-1 or NEN-4400-2) and whether your company is established in the Netherlands or abroad. You can apply for the G-rekening from the Tax Authorities. If you cannot obtain a G-rekening (and you can provide proof from the Tax Authorities), you also have the option to submit an accountant's statement (assurance report regarding personnel lending) every quarter. In this, a certified accountant (AA or RA) will issue a statement about the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the remittances.

Please note that the costs for this statement will be borne by you.
