Project overview
Java Engineer required for a long-term engagement, offering competitive rates with a hybrid working arrangement, 40% onsite in the West Midlands.
Active SC Clearance is required.
You'll join an expanding engineering team within a DevOps environment, supporting Java applications, APIs, data integrations and batch processes.
Key duties:
Technical Skills
Experience with Java/Microservices, RabbitMQ, MongoDB/MySQL, Kubernetes, Grafana/Prometheus and GitLab is essential.
Knowledge of job scheduling tools such as Apache Airflow, JS7 or TWS is also required.
Experience with AWS, Oracle or Cloudera is desirable.
About You
- Must hold and ACTIVE SC Clearance
- Inside IR35
- Develop and support Java-based applications, microservices and APIs.
- Support data integration, batch processing and data pipelines.
- Monitor performance, investigate incidents and maintain service reliability.
- Work with engineering teams and clients to deliver secure, efficient solutions.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement.
- Strong Java engineering and production support experience.
- Good understanding of APIs, data integration and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
