Java Fullstack Developer

Project overview

This contract role in Gothenburg will develop customer-facing portal features, with end-to-end ownership from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and production operation. The core requirements are strong Java and Spring Boot, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, API development and integration, relational databases, AWS, CI/CD, Git, and automated testing. The successful developer will also bring production experience and an understanding of secure, scalable, reliable software, while collaborating in an Agile product team.

Event-driven technologies, observability, AI-assisted development tools, and UX collaboration are additional merits rather than core requirements. The structured input specifies 5–10 years of experience and contract employment; work mode is not specified, and fluent English is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop frontend and backend functionality.
• Own features from requirements clarification through production.
• Build secure, scalable, maintainable, and cost-efficient solutions.
• Develop and maintain automated, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Deploy, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot services in production.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and provide constructive code reviews.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering colleagues to deliver customer value.
• Improve technical quality, reliability, development practices, and technical debt.
• Share knowledge and support less-experienced engineers.
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly, validating outputs against quality and security standards.
• Demonstrated experience independently delivering full-stack features in production.
• Strong competence in Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
