JAVA [Quarkus] programmer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced JAVA [Quarkus] programmer for our TITANS freelancers team for a long-term REMOTE project in the field of aviation.

Project requirements

• cooperation in the analysis, design, development, and testing of the back-end [JAVA] of a unique Big Data solution in the field of air traffic operations
• opportunity to participate in the unique integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning into aviation
• collaboration in solution design with the main solution architect and its subsequent development and testing
• collaboration within international [predominantly CZ/SK] DevSecOps teams working with the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) method
• participation in CI/CD including code reviews
• collaboration can take place in an almost complete REMOTE [home-office] mode, or (if the freelancer is interested) ON-SITE (in the location Bratislava)
• min. 6 years of experience in programming large [enterprise] systems in JAVA
• advanced experience with the Quarkus and/or Spring ecosystem
• advanced knowledge and use of design patterns (design patterns: Factory, Singleton, Strategy, MVC, ...)
• experience with:
• writing Unit tests
• using Web Services (REST/SOAP)
• microservices (Docker and/or Kubernetes)
• knowledge of SQL and database principles
• knowledge of Git or another repository system
• a big advantage: experience in creating and/or participating in the creation of architecture for large systems
• an advantage are experiences with:
• big data processing (ideally HDFS & Kafka)
• the KeyCloak tool
• cloud services (AWS and/or Azure)
• SQL/noSQL databases
• Apache Kafka
• front-end programming in ReactJS
• end-to-end testing
• code static analysis tools (FxCop, StyleCop, Sonar)
• performing effective code reviews and adhering to coding standards
• responsibility
• communication skills
