Lead Technical Architect

Project overview

I am recruiting for a Lead Technical Architect to work on a remote basis.

The role falls inside IR35 so you will need to work through an umbrella company for the duration of the contract.

You MUST have recent experience of working within central government.

As the Lead Technical Architect you will support the client's AI buildout, this role will provide end-to-end technical oversight, strategic perspective, and architectural governance for the client's transition to AI-assisted and agentic workflows.

You will need to have experience of identifying AI opportunities and executing them.

You must have a proven track record of multi cloud architecture expertise with strong Google Cloud experience.

Expertise in configuring VPC service controls and you will also have a focus on security and be familiar with cloud platforms.

You will have significant experience leading cloud platform architecture (GCP/AWS), secure Cloud Landing Zones, Identity and Access Management (IAM) hierarchies, and microservices design for complex enterprise environments.

You must also have hands-on experience designing deterministic AI safety controls, including human-in-the-loop approval gates, VPC Service Controls, identity federation (WIF, Entra ID), and privacy/PII masking baselines.

Expertise in both strategic and technical design, with a proven track record of designing modular components and services and defining how they interoperate seamlessly to deliver intended end-to-end service outcomes.
