Land Charges/Search Officer | 3-Month Contract | West Midlands

I’m currently recruiting for a Land Charges/Search Officer to support a busy local authority team on a 3-month contract.

Essential Experience

Experience with Idox TLC, Idox Uniform and GIS systems would be advantageous.

Contract Details

• Process official property searches, including CON29 and LLC1.
• Respond to personal search requests and Building Control data enquiries under EIR legislation.
• Maintain accurate land charges records in line with legislative requirements and HM Land Registry standards.
• Identify data quality issues and missing search information.
• Ensure service requests are completed within agreed KPIs.
• Interpret maps and plans to ensure accurate search results.
• Experience in land charges, property searches or a related local authority service.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Good IT skills and the ability to interpret maps and plans.
• Location: West Midlands
• Duration: 3 months
• Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, with consideration given to multiple part-time candidates.
• Start date: An early start is essential.
• Training and equipment: Occasional attendance at council offices will be required for face-to-face training and collection of IT equipment, if necessary. A separate laptop provided by South Derbyshire District Council may also be required.
