MDM Solution Architect

Digital Skills are looking for an experienced MDM Solution Architect (Master Data Management) to lead the architecture and integration of a master data management and entity-resolution capability within a modern cloud data platform.

You will own the architecture connecting an MDM matching service with the wider data ecosystem, ensuring entity resolution is accurate, scalable, secure and appropriately governed across complex enterprise data domains.

This is a senior architecture role requiring strong knowledge of IBM Match 360, IBM Big Match, or comparable MDM/entity-resolution technologies, alongside experience with AWS and Databricks.

• Design the integration architecture between the MDM solution and the wider data ecosystem.
• Define matching and entity-resolution data flows, including standardisation and survivorship rules.
• Ensure matching configurations can scale across large, multi-domain datasets.
• Architect ingestion and processing pipelines feeding the matching capability.
• Align resolved entity data with Bronze, Silver and Gold medallion architecture layers.
• Define supporting AWS infrastructure across services.
• Apply Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles to support consistent deployments.
• Embed data-quality and governance controls around matching outcomes.
• Work with Databricks Unity Catalog to secure, govern and audit resolved entity data.
• Ensure the architecture meets relevant data-protection and information-assurance requirements.
• Act as the technical authority for MDM and matching integration decisions.
• Collaborate with data engineers, platform architects, governance specialists and senior stakeholders.
• At least five years' experience in solution architecture across data or integration platforms.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Match 360, IBM Big Match or comparable MDM and entity-resolution tooling.
• Strong understanding of data matching, standardisation, entity resolution and survivorship.
• Experience defining and creating data products and data contracts.
• Strong AWS experience, including S3, IAM, VPC and Glue.
• Experience integrating MDM capabilities with a Databricks Lakehouse environment.
• Knowledge of Databricks Unity Catalog and data-governance controls.
• Experience designing scalable data pipelines and integration architecture.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex architectural concepts clearly.
