MS Fabric and Power BI Architect

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Microsoft Fabric and Power BI architecture, ensuring scalability, security and performance
• Build and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Architect Azure Key Vault for secure credentials, secrets and service principal management
• Define OneLake architecture, including Fabric workspaces, Lakehouses and shortcuts
• Design identity and access controls using Microsoft Entra ID, Azure RBAC and Fabric permissions
• Define Power BI architecture, semantic modelling patterns and Direct Lake performance optimisation
• Design integration patterns between AWS-hosted data and Azure/Microsoft Fabric
• Establish security, governance and architectural standards across the platform
• Support automated deployments using Git, CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Provide technical leadership to Data Engineers, Power BI Developers and platform teams

Requirements

• Active SC clearance (Mandatory, will not put candidates through clearance)
• Strong experience architecting Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and Azure environments
• Hands-on experience with OneLake, Fabric workspaces and Lakehouses
• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience
• Experience with Azure Key Vault, Microsoft Entra ID, service principals and Azure RBAC
• Strong understanding of IAM, cloud security and least-privilege access controls
• Knowledge of Power BI semantic models, Direct Lake and platform performance
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps and architectural governance
• Strong technical leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience with AWS/Azure integration, OneLake shortcuts and medallion architectures desirable
