NetApp Storage Engineer – RUN / BUILD

Project overview

As part of the operation and evolution of its IT infrastructures, our client is looking for an experienced NetApp Storage Engineer with solid expertise in the administration and optimization of NAS environments.

Within a demanding industrial environment, the consultant supports the Storage Service Owner, participates in maintaining the operational readiness of infrastructures, and contributes to storage architecture evolution projects.

They also ensure the monitoring of the main IT service provider's services and provide technical expertise to guarantee the availability, performance, resilience, and capacity of the infrastructures.

Main Missions

Aerospace sector: Security clearance required

• Administration and operation of NetApp infrastructures – RUN
• Administer and operate NetApp storage solutions, particularly NAS environments.
• Provide technical support to the Storage Service Owner.
• Manage and monitor the activities of the main IT service provider.
• Intervene in production incidents, perform diagnostics and troubleshooting operations.
• Carry out the necessary administrative operations to maintain operational readiness.
• Ensure compliance with best practices and standards for NetApp NAS administration.
• Audit, performance, and capacity planning
• Conduct technical surveys and audits of storage infrastructures.
• Analyze performance indicators and ensure KPI updates.
• Monitor the evolution of data volumes and available storage capacities.
• Contribute to the development of capacity planning to anticipate future needs.
• Identify optimization areas for performance, capacity, and operations.
• Evolution and design of infrastructures – BUILD
• Participate in storage architecture evolution projects.
• Ensure the implementation, deployment, and configuration of NetApp NAS.
• Propose technical solutions adapted to the infrastructure evolution needs.
• Design and implement data replication mechanisms between sites.
• Participate in the definition and optimization of tiering strategies.
• Contribute to improving the resilience and business continuity of storage infrastructures.
