Networks & Security Consultant

Project overview

We are looking for an "EDUROAM" Networks & Security Consultant for a 3-month renewable mission.

Context:

Our client wishes to be supported in the implementation of Eduroam on its three campuses (Reims, Rouen, Paris). A first attempt took place in the past without success: the client is therefore primarily looking for a consultant who has already led an Eduroam project or a project with RENATER, ideally in higher education or research.

• Define the target architecture: local RADIUS servers in high availability, AD integration, VLAN isolated from the internal network, connection to RENATER
• Install and configure RADIUS servers
• Participate in the configuration of the eduroam SSID on Meraki and filtering rules
• Manage a phased deployment: pilot campus, then generalization to the other two
• Document and transfer skills to the operations team
• 802.1X authentication and EAP protocols (PEAP-MSCHAPv2, ideally EAP-TLS), WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise
• RADIUS: Windows NPS or FreeRADIUS, linked to Active Directory
• Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi (SSID, VLAN, RADIUS authentication)
• Basic knowledge of PKI and server certificates
• Eduroam/RENATER experience is truly the criterion that will make the difference with the client.
• Experienced network/security consultant,
• Autonomous, comfortable with a small team
• Capable of transferring what they implement.
• Duration, schedule to be defined with the client
• Travel to different sites to be expected, schedule to be defined with the client.
