We currently have 180 great colleagues on projects. To further strengthen our team, we are currently looking for an OT Architect (m/f/x) to start at our client in Antwerp.

Function

• This position can be filled with either a permanent contract (employee status) or a freelance contract
• Duration: Long term

• Designing OT architectures for industrial automation systems, taking into account the needs of various stakeholders
• Defining standards, principles, and reference architectures (including Purdue Model)
• Determining integrations and data flows between OT systems and IT platforms
• Supporting projects through design creation, reviews, and architectural guidelines
• Taking over and structuring existing OT architecture knowledge, standards, and documentation
• Training and guiding an internal employee who will later continue the role
• Evaluating whether existing OT standards and reference architectures are complete, up-to-date, and applicable
• Together with the internal employee, examining how standard IT building blocks fit safely and practically into the OT environment
• Supplementing missing elements and formulating concrete improvement points
• Monitoring consistency and standardization within the OT environment
• Selecting and evaluating technologies and suppliers
• Developing roadmaps and lifecycle management for OT systems
• Ensuring a secure OT environment in collaboration with Infosec and in line with group guidelines and NIS2

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent through experience
• Preferably 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, OT environments, or IT/OT integration
• Experience with OT systems such as SCADA, PLCs, and industrial applications
• Experience with designing architectures and defining technical solutions
• Experience with knowledge transfer, coaching, or mentoring in a technical or architectural role
• Experience with reviewing documentation, standards, and architectural principles
• Ability to translate IT standards and IT building blocks into an OT context
• Knowledge of industrial protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP
• Knowledge of OT security principles and standards, preferably IEC 62443, NIS2, and ISO 27001
• Insight into IT/OT integration and formulating pragmatic solutions for operational environments
• Experience with stakeholder management within IT, operations, engineering, information security, and suppliers
• Experience with project support, design, implementation follow-up, and reviews is a plus
• Experience in a maritime environment is a plus
• Language skills: Dutch and English
