OT Cybersecurity Manager

Project overview

Our client, an energy sector operator, is looking for an experienced interim cybersecurity professional to cover part of its OT and security operations responsibilities until a permanent successor is appointed. The company operates critical infrastructure under KRITIS regulation, and the role starts immediately.

You will support day-to-day OT security operations, including SOC/SIEM monitoring, incident response and escalation, vulnerability management and secure remote access oversight. You will also contribute to the company’s ISO 27001 certification work and support audit preparation, so you will need to be comfortable working with both the operational and the compliance side.

This is an interim role, so we are looking for someone who can step in quickly, take over live responsibilities and be productive without a long handover.

Requirements

• Hands-on OT/ICS security operations experience in energy or other critical infrastructure
• Experience taking a company through ISO 27001 certification
• SOC/SIEM monitoring and OT-focused incident response experience
• Working knowledge of IEC 62443, KRITIS and NIS2
• Ability to work independently and start immediately
• Based in Germany, fluent German and English

Nice to have

• Experience with OT monitoring tools (e.g. Nozomi, Claroty, Dragos)
• Familiarity with the IT-Sicherheitskatalog (§11 EnWG) and BSIG incident reporting
• Experience with renewable or distributed energy assets
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GICSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or IEC 62443
