Project overview
Senior performance testing/engineering leader (12+ years) to assess and improve end-to-end performance engineering processes and lead NFT delivery, while designing and implementing GenAI/LLM-powered automation (agents/copilots) for performance testing workflows. The role requires strong hands-on performance testing and monitoring/APM expertise across web/mobile/cloud/enterprise architectures, ability to integrate solutions into CI/CD and enterprise toolchains, and capability to architect scalable, secure multi-user GenAI deployments.
Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, documentation, and enablement/training skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Assess current performance testing and engineering processes to identify automation and optimization opportunities using GenAI.
- Design, develop, and implement GenAI-powered solutions like AI Agents or simple use case solutioning to reduce manual effort, accelerate testing cycles, and improve accuracy.
- Architect scalable GenAI solutions for enterprise use, considering deployment models, user access, and integration with existing tools.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather requirements, demonstrate solutions, and drive adoption.
- Continuously monitor, test, and refine GenAI solutions for optimal performance and business value.
- Document solution architectures, use cases, and user guides for client reference.
- Stay updated with latest advancements in GenAI, LLMs, and performance engineering tools.
Requirements
- 12+ years experience in performance testing/performance engineering (PT/PE)
- Strong understanding of application architectures (web, mobile, cloud, enterprise)
- End-to-end performance testing/engineering process assessment and improvement (identify pain points, automation opportunities)
- Hands-on performance testing for enterprise applications (e.g.,.NET, Java, SAP Web, SAP GUI, MQ)
- Monitoring across client/server/DB/network/load balancer layers
- APM analysis and troubleshooting (e.g., AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Wily, Splunk, New Relic)
- Install/configure/administer performance testing and monitoring tools
- Unix/Linux performance commands and analysis (e.g., vmstat, nmon)
- SQL querying and database performance analysis (including AWR analysis)
- JVM and CLR understanding; server tuning/optimization
- Cloud/container performance engineering knowledge (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
- CI/CD pipeline integration and tooling (JIRA, Git, Jenkins)
- Ability to develop automation scripts/tools for log/report analysis
- GenAI/LLM concepts: token limits, prompt engineering, model suitability evaluation (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini)
- Design and prioritization of GenAI use cases for PT/PE (agents, automation, intelligent analysis/reporting)
- Ability to develop or guide development of GenAI solutions; iterative testing and continuous improvement
- Architecting GenAI solutions for multi-user environments; hosting/scalability/security considerations
- LLM integration via APIs into engineering workflows
- Stakeholder management, workshops, cross-functional leadership, communication/presentation
- Experience leading NFT delivery and driving Shift Left/Shift Right testing approaches
