For our client Jönköping Energi Nät AB, we are looking for a Planning Engineer.

Assignment description and expected delivery.

Jönköping Energi Nät AB is seeking a resource consultant in the role of planning engineer for the Planning and Customer Connection unit.

The consultant will be part of the regular operations and work with the technical and commercial handling of customer connections and associated grid actions.

The assignment mainly includes handling and ordering of service and connection cases within low and high voltage grids, including managing preliminary and final notifications, and contacts with customers and electrical installers. The assignment also includes developing technical grid solutions and performing grid calculations.

Depending on the consultant's skills and experience, the assignment may also include power quality issues, including measurement, analysis, and investigation, technical issues regarding subscriber stations, inspection of service centers before new connections, and other technical investigations within the power grid area.

The consultant is expected to gradually be able to manage assigned service and connection cases independently from incoming requests and technical investigation to ordering and execution. The work is done in close cooperation with other functions within Jönköping Energi and in contact with customers, electrical installers, and other external parties.

The purpose of the assignment is to strengthen the capacity of the Planning and Customer Connection unit and ensure efficient, correct, and customer-oriented handling of connection cases and associated grid actions.

Reference assignments and reference person

The consultant should be able to provide at least two relevant assignments or employments carried out in the last five years within power grids, power, electrical installation, customer connections, or comparable activities. The description should state the consultant's role, tasks, time period, and responsibility. A reference person must be provided upon request.

• The consultant must have relevant technical education focused on electricity/power, for example, a university engineer, vocational training, or a high school electrical engineering education, or have acquired equivalent power competence through relevant work experience.
• The consultant must have relevant technical work experience in areas such as power, electricity distribution, electrical installation, power grids, or other comparable activities.
• The consultant must have good technical understanding in electricity/power and the ability to independently handle technical issues.
• The consultant must be able to express themselves well in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have good digital administrative competence.
• A driver's license B is required, as the assignment may involve work in facilities and at customer sites.
• Work within power grid operations or installer operations.
• Experience with customer connections, service cases, and preliminary and final notifications.
• Experience with grid calculations and dimensioning of power grids.
• Experience working in NIS/GIS systems.
• Experience with dpPower or equivalent grid calculation/grid information systems.
• Experience with power quality issues, measurement, analysis, and investigation.
• Experience with subscriber stations.
• Experience with technical customer dialogue and contacts with electrical installers.
• Experience with technical assessments within distribution grids.

Project details

Jönköping. 60% can be handled on-site, the rest remotely.

Availability

The consultant must be able to start the assignment on 2027-01-04, but no later than 2027-10-18. The assignment normally concerns 100% of full-time.

PUB agreement will be signed

Start date: 2027-01-04

End date: 2028-12-31

Scope: 80-100%

Fee: Compensation will be paid as an hourly rate.

Option scope: Yes, there is a possibility that the client may order additions/extensions to the contract.

Option – can be adapted by agreement according to the needs of the business. But then at least 2 months' notice is required.

Option extension: 2x6 months

Security vetting

Security vetting must always be carried out in accordance with the client's current procedures.

A security vetting usually takes 10-15 working days to complete.
