We're currently supporting a leading organisation in their search for an experienced Platform Engineer to join a high-performing cloud engineering team on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the design, automation and ongoing enhancement of a large-scale cloud platform, ensuring it remains secure, scalable, resilient and cost-effective. You'll work closely with engineering, security and operations teams to deliver robust cloud infrastructure and improve platform capabilities through automation and Infrastructure as Code.

• Role: Platform Engineer
• Length: 6 Months
• Rate: £550 per day
• IR35: Outside IR35
• Start: ASAP
• Design, implement and maintain core cloud platform services, networking and security controls.
• Build and enhance Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and automation tooling.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient cloud delivery.
• Monitor platform performance, security and availability, driving proactive improvements and issue resolution.
• Support incident management and operational excellence across cloud environments.
• Continually optimise platform scalability, resilience and cloud costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and security teams to improve cloud engineering practices.
• Strong experience working within cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Proven expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong scripting and automation skills, ideally Python.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of cloud security, governance and best practices.
• Experience supporting highly available, scalable cloud platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Previous experience within regulated environments is advantageous.
