Project overview
We are looking for an experienced PMO Analyst to join our PMO within an aviation environment. A working knowledge of the aviation industry will be beneficial.
You will support a large, complex programme of technology infrastructure projects. You will work closely with programme and project managers to make sure delivery is well governed, well reported and well controlled. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, safety-conscious operational environment, where accurate information and good planning discipline really matter.
Key responsibilities
Maintain integrated programme and project plans, tracking milestones, dependencies and critical path across multiple infrastructure workstreams
Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards and RAG status updates for programme boards and senior stakeholders
Manage RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), chase owners for updates and escalate where needed
Support financial control, including budget tracking, forecasting, actuals reconciliation and purchase order management
Coordinate governance activity: scheduling boards, preparing packs, taking minutes and tracking actions and decisions
Administer change control, logging and tracking change requests through impact assessment and approval
Track resources and capacity across project teams and third-party suppliers
Maintain programme documentation, SharePoint sites and document control standards
Support stage-gate reviews, project start-up and closure activity, including lessons learned
Monitor supplier deliverables and support contract and vendor performance reporting
Promote consistent use of PMO standards, templates and tools across the programme
About you
Proven experience in a PMO Analyst, Project Support or Programme Coordinator role on a large programme, ideally technology or infrastructure focused
Strong planning skills with MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet or similar
Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI or other reporting tools is an advantage
Good understanding of project lifecycles and governance frameworks such as PRINCE2, MSP or Agile
Confident working with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to challenge and chase constructively
Highly organised, detail-focused and able to manage competing priorities
Aviation, transport or other regulated-industry experience is desirable
PRINCE2 Foundation, APM PFQ or a P3O qualification is beneficial
Additional information
This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week on site. Because of the operational aviation environment, the successful candidate will need to complete security vetting and background checks, which may include a 5-year referenced history and airside pass requirements.
