Job Title: Product Manager

• Own and drive the product management of messaging, integration and observability platforms, including IBM MQ, App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) and Instana, ensuring these services are secure, resilient, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned to engineering and business needs.
• This role requires strong cross-functional leadership, clear decision-making, and end-to-end accountability for platform outcomes.
• The Product Owner will be responsible for setting roadmaps and strategy, acting as an SME contact, and handling governance, requiring a senior individual with strong technical and communication skills.
• Critical experience in IBM MQ is essential, with knowledge of ACE/Broker, ITX and monitoring tools, particularly Instana, highly desirable.

• Strong experience in product/service management for enterprise platforms (middleware, integration, messaging, monitoring/observability), ideally in a regulated environment.
• Deep knowledge of IBM MQ and solid working knowledge of ACE, ITX and observability tools (Instana or equivalent).
• Proven track record in platform lifecycle management (upgrade programs, standardization, deprecation, tech debt).
• Strong operational mindset: incident/problem management, capacity planning, resilience (HA/DR), SLI/SLO-based performance management.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence across multiple teams and senior stakeholders.

• experience managing large-scale, multi-region deployments of messaging/integration/observability platforms across multiple geographies and time zones.
• Proven delivery experience with IBM MQ in a complex enterprise estate (hundreds/thousands of queue managers or large application population).
• Hands-on or delivery leadership exposure to IBM ACE in distributed estates.
• experience with IBM ITX in enterprise transformation workloads.
• Strong observability experience using Instana or equivalent enterprise tooling across a broad estate.
• experience operating in environments with strict change governance and high audit scrutiny, with demonstrated ability to deliver currency and resilience improvements without increasing operational risk.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud and container/platform patterns relevant to Middleware and integration runtimes, including automation via CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
• experience leading cross-geography stakeholder groups and driving adoption of standard platforms through influence rather than authority.
• Financial services experience and vendor licensing/commercial management exposure.
• Prior experience within a large regulated organisation or another company in the industry is a significant advantage.
