Product Owner (AI Platform)

Project overview

For the further development of a new AI-driven SaaS platform within financial services, we are looking for an experienced Senior Product Owner on short notice. The platform is under active development and will move towards its initial launch in the coming months. AI agents form an important part of both the platform itself and the way the software is developed. The platform consists of multiple financial domains. As a Product Owner, you will have ownership of one or more domains and work closely with other Product Owners and development teams. The focus is explicitly on product development and actual delivery.

• Ownership of product vision and roadmap within your domain(s)
• Prioritizing and translating business needs into concrete requirements
• Managing and prioritizing the backlog
• Intensive collaboration with development teams
• Monitoring progress and delivery towards launch
• Engaging stakeholders and aligning interests
• Making product decisions within the agreed frameworks
• Identifying and improving processes and working methods
• Supporting other product domains where necessary

Personally, we are looking for a hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented Product Owner who is decisive, operates independently, and can create progress even in a complex environment.

Practical information

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner within a software-driven environment
• Experience within financial services, such as insurance, banking, or fintech
• Strong focus on delivery, ownership, and results
• Experience with complex stakeholder environments and building consensus
• Technically proficient and familiar with APIs and integration techniques such as REST
• Able to translate functional wishes into clear technical requirements
• Experience with the effective use of AI tools in your own work
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Experience within the insurance industry
• Experience with AI agents, agentic AI, or AI-native product development
• Experience with SaaS platforms or complex digital products
• Affinity with innovative and experimental software development
• Engagement: 32–40 hours per week
• Contract type: freelance
• Start: as soon as possible
• Initial duration: 3–6 months, possibility of extension
• Hybrid working method, with presence on location to be discussed
