Assignment Product Owner AI Platform

For the development and further development of an AI platform within the SVB, we are looking for an experienced Product Owner who can translate user needs and organizational goals into a reliable product vision, a prioritized roadmap, and concrete development tasks. You operate at the intersection of business, IT, and governance, bringing structure, energy, and focus to a dynamic environment. You provide direction on what the platform should offer, for whom, and with what results. Pay attention to the coherence between AI applications, effective platform features, and integration into the existing IT landscape.

Together with the architect, you will translate the product vision into Design Principles and a scalable target architecture, which will guide product choices and further development. You will work closely with the AI team, Architects, and platform administrators.

Result

You contribute to a supported product vision and roadmap for the development of an AI Platform, a prioritized product backlog, and a validated MVP that aligns with concrete user needs. You own the product goals and backlog prioritization, ensuring that development choices are valuable with user insights, estimated value, and explicit assumptions. You ensure that acceptance criteria for functionality, user experience, AI quality, manageability, and scalability are clear and that involved disciplines jointly test them.

The first applications will be made available in a controlled manner, with agreements on usage, support, monitoring, and further development. Through your guidance, ownership, momentum, and a shared rhythm will emerge, enabling the platform to be realized and grow sustainably.

You validate user needs for discovery, co-creation, and prototypes and translate them into product goals, a roadmap, and a prioritized backlog. You prioritize user value, sustainability, risks, and dependencies, and formulate testable user stories and acceptance criteria with the team. You agree with the architect on Design Principles and a scalable target architecture and translate them into product requirements. You have found the coherence between the user and application layer, the AI functionality layer (orchestrator layer), the model and data layer, and the infrastructure.

The Orchestrator layer organizes the collaboration between AI functionalities, agents, models, tools, and data sources. With IT, management, and compliance, you ensure integrations, AI quality, security, privacy, and human control. You facilitate realization, implementation, and adoption and make agreements on support, monitoring, and management. You track usage, user value, and AI quality and use the insights to adjust. You bring stakeholders together, make choices and dependencies practical, and ensure supported further development and scaling.

You have

Demonstrable experience as a Product Owner with the development and further development of digital products and platforms within complex organizations. Experience with product vision, roadmap development, backlog prioritization, and growing user stories and acceptance criteria. Experience with discovery, co-creation, and validating user needs. Knowledge of AI applications and insight into their possibilities, limitations, and quality assessment.

Sufficient technical insight to collaborate with specialists on Design Principles, a scalable target architecture, architectural layers, data, integrations, and non-functional requirements. Experience translating privacy, security, and governance requirements into concrete product requirements. Experience with implementation, management agreements, and user adoption of digital solutions. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to substantiate product choices with value, KPIs, and explicit assumptions.

Excellent communication, analytical, and integration skills, and experience with agile collaboration.

-When offering a candidate for the above request, a sub-contracting arrangement is not allowed. The candidate must be employed by your organization. If there is an extra link in the chain, we will not consider your offer and will reject it immediately.

-A valid VOG (Certificate of Conduct) is required upon commencement; starting earlier is not possible.

Additional information

When you, as a supplier, offer a professional to us and they are placed, we will need information from you as a contracting party, including regarding the Chain Liability Act (Wet keten- en inlenersaansprakelijkheid). The 'WKA' aims to prevent abuse in the remittance of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to client. We design these risks for our clients by means of an blocked account, the G-account. This is an account to which a portion of the invoice amount is deposited and from which you can pay payroll taxes and VAT to the Tax Authorities.

The percentage to be deposited depends on whether you have SNA certification (NEN-4400-1 or NEN-4400-2) or not, and whether your company is located in the Netherlands or abroad. You can apply for the G-account from the Tax Authorities. If you cannot obtain a G-account (and you can provide proof of this from the Tax Authorities), you also have the option to provide an accountant's statement (assurance report regarding personnel lending) quarterly. In this, a certified accountant (AA or RA) will issue a statement about the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the remittances.

The costs for this statement will be at your own expense.
