Product Owner Payment — Orchestration Backend & APIs — Île-de-France

Project overview

Ever"T — Native AI tech consulting company, innovative and in hypergrowth — is looking for a Product Owner Payment to lead the core of payment orchestration for a very high-volume international transactional platform.

The Context

You will join a Payment Tribe of about thirty people (product and tech), organized into autonomous feature teams. Yours is responsible for payment performance on the end-customer side: conversion, new payment methods, multi-currency, flow reliability.

Two main transaction models coexist within the scope: immediate online payment and pre-authorization with deferred debit. All across multiple channels (web, application, internal portal, payment links) and internationally.

An important point to keep in mind: this Project is 100% backend. No front-end to manage. Your product consists of the internal APIs that orchestrate payments: routing rules to acquiring partners, call resilience, in-house management rules, exposing services to consuming teams. You won't be coding, but you need to finely understand what happens under the hood to make decisions, challenge proposed solutions, and translate impacts to stakeholders.

The pace is very execution-oriented: approximately 80 to 90% delivery, 10 to 20% discovery.

Your Team

You will be paired with a solid Tech Lead, developers, and a QA. A Scrum Master supports the feature teams, and a transverse architect is involved in structural topics.

• Own the vision and roadmap of your feature team for the customer payment scope.
• Build, refine, and prioritize the backlog according to business value, complexity, and transactional risk.
• Write actionable User Stories on backend topics: API contracts, management rules, error cases, testable acceptance criteria.
• Lead end-to-end orchestration: routing, resilience, tokenization, status management, and edge cases.
• Expose and evolve internal APIs consumed by other teams, remaining the owner of your initiatives even when part of the chain is managed elsewhere.
• Integrate new acquiring partners to open new markets, and industrialize new payment methods.
• Work on multi-currency payments and dynamic currency conversion (DCC).
• Frame cross-functional topics with legal, tax, security, and compliance experts.
• Monitor indicators: acceptance rate, refusal rate, conversion rate, production incidents, and contribute to investigations with Level 3 support.
• Start date: as soon as possible, with a handover phase planned.
• Pace: hybrid, 1 to 2 days on-site per week in Île-de-France, increased presence possible during integration.
