Organization The Central Agency for Asylum Seekers (COA) is responsible for the reception and guidance of asylum seekers in the Netherlands, on behalf of the Ministry of Justice and Security: on the way to a future here or elsewhere. Behind that social mission is an organization that relies entirely on ICT. The ICT department keeps the information provision stable and secure day in and day out – and you, as an experienced network specialist, play a key role in this. The role As a trainee at the SPOC, you will play a crucial role in clearing the backlog of tickets.

You will work in a dynamic environment where reliability and security are paramount. Together with a team of pleasant, driven colleagues, you will ensure that support for our colleagues from end-users, the service desk, and 3rd line administrators is optimal again. SPOC Network Administrator Employee You start within the ICT Infrastructure team and first build a year of experience in the so-called 2nd line, known to us as the SPOC: this is an Agile team that serves as the bridge between the service desk and the 3rd line administrators. The team currently consists of 6 colleagues and is growing steadily. You have basic IT knowledge and will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of our ICT. Are you also skilled with Python or Ansible, or does Linux appeal to you? Then this is your chance.

In your first year, you will primarily gain experience: you will analyze incidents and problems, monitor systems, and get to know the organization. You will learn something new every day, but this requires a proactive attitude – you won't get it served on a silver platter, you'll have to 'get to work' yourself. Core tasks as a trainee

• Within SPOC Infra, you will learn how to analyze, handle, and, if necessary, carefully transfer incidents, reports, and requests to other ICT teams.
• You will assist in monitoring and managing systems and learn to recognize, investigate, and, where possible, resolve disruptions.
• You will learn to look not only at the technology but also at the impact of a disruption on the user and the service.
• You will take responsibility for your own work, commensurate with your knowledge and experience. You will track progress, document what you have done, and ask for help in a timely manner when needed.
• You will collaborate with colleagues within SPOC Infra, the Service Desk, and other ICT teams and learn how the different parts of the ICT chain work together.
• You will share acquired knowledge, contribute to improvements, and actively participate in daily activities and team development.
• You will gradually develop your technical knowledge, independence, and responsibilities, with guidance from experienced colleagues. What profile are we looking for?
• You have a completed ICT education or demonstrable affinity with ICT and the motivation to develop further in this field.
• You possess some basic technical knowledge. You don't have to know or be able to do everything yet, but you are curious and willing to learn new things.
