Hybrid - London, Manchester or Bristol. 1 day per week in the office, with some flexibility. Occasional travel between sites may be required.

The Role:

A leading Central Government organisation is seeking an experienced Programme Management Lead to support a high-profile Government Major Programme Portfolio (GMPP) transformation.

The successful candidate will help establish programme management structures, governance and ways of working, working across technology and digital delivery to ensure effective programme execution.

• Strong programme management experience within complex, large-scale transformation environments.
• Experience working within Government Major Programme Portfolio (GMPP) or other major government programmes.
• Proven experience establishing or developing programme management / PMO functions, including governance, planning, reporting and delivery controls.
• Strong understanding of Agile programme delivery and the ability to adapt methodologies to the environment.
• Experience working across Technology, Digital or DDaT programmes and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience setting up teams, structures and effective ways of working to support successful delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management and decision-making skills, with the confidence to operate independently and influence senior stakeholders.
• NISTA Programme Management qualifications or equivalent programme management training would be highly desirable.
• Public sector or government experience strongly preferred.
