Project overview
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Project Director / PMO to join the IT Platform entity as part of a strategic private cloud infrastructure modernization program.
Infrastructure Project Management: Lead a major transformation program for On-Premise infrastructures, notably the migration from VMware to Nutanix.
Strategic and Operational PMO: Structure governance, consolidate planning, manage budgets, risks, dependencies, and ensure reporting to various stakeholders.
Management and Transverse Coordination: Supervise and lead a team of approximately 15 SysOps employees and contractors, while ensuring coordination with technical teams and product managers.
The main challenge is to ensure the successful execution of the transformation program, control commitments, and maintain infrastructure service continuity.
Technical and Organizational Environment
Reporting to the head of the IT Platform entity, you will work in a complex environment combining On-Premise infrastructures, Public Cloud, and hybrid architectures.
The SysOps team operates in three areas:
Private Cloud: compute, storage, virtualization, operating systems, datacenter, and backup.
Networks and Security: LAN/WAN, telephony, load balancing, and firewalls.
Public Cloud: AWS, Landing Zone, and associated services.
The organization relies on transverse collaboration with Product Owners, Product Managers, DevOps managers, architects, CISOs, technical leads, and operational teams.
The IT department's strategy aims to modernize its infrastructures, accelerate delivery, develop Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offerings, and strengthen DevOps practices.
Main Missions
You will be responsible for the overall management of a strategic private cloud infrastructure modernization program.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Leading the project to migrate the existing VMware environment to a Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure.
Managing the various phases of the program: scoping, contracting, deployment, migration, and stabilization.

Managing integrators and contractors involved in the program.
Overseeing infrastructure modernization and containerization efforts.
Ensuring consistency between legacy infrastructures and new platforms.
Anticipating impacts on production, performance, and service continuity.
Ensuring adherence to objectives, deadlines, budgets, and delivery commitments.
In addition to your Project Director responsibilities, you will perform a Senior PMO function, with a strong focus on structuring, coordinating, and securing the program.
Governance and Organization
Define and implement program governance and management mechanisms.
Structure monitoring bodies: project committees, steering committees, and decision-making committees.
Prepare, lead, and formalize governance meetings.
Clarify responsibilities, roles, and decision-making processes among stakeholders.
Ensure escalation of alerts and prepare decisions for management and the IT department.
Planning and Transverse Coordination
Build and maintain a consolidated master plan integrating all workstreams.
Define milestones, deliverables, deadlines, and critical paths.
Consolidate the progress of various technical work packages and associated projects.
Identify and manage interdependencies between infrastructure, network, security, cloud, and production teams.
Anticipate blocking points and propose corrective action plans.
Coordinate project managers, architects, technical managers, and contractors.
Ensure overall consistency of schedules and commitments.
Budget Management and Resource Tracking
Build and consolidate program budget tracking.
Monitor expenses, commitments, consumption, and forecasts.
Identify discrepancies between projected and actual budgets.
Manage capacities and workloads of internal and external teams.
Track allocations, consumed days, and resource needs.
Prepare necessary elements for budget decisions.
Risk Management and Reporting
Implement and maintain a consolidated register of risks, actions, decisions, and dependencies.
Assess financial, technical, organizational, and calendar impacts.
Define and track mitigation and remediation plans.
Build dashboards and management indicators.
