As a project manager for area development, you will be responsible for multiple sub-projects within the Sleutelkwartier. You will be responsible for daily management and progress, and will manage integrally on aspects including program, planning, finances, quality, risks, and decision-making. About the Company
Working on the center of Waddinxveen
The municipality of Waddinxveen is actively developing its center. An important development here is the Sleutelkwartier: the historic heart of Waddinxveen and a key link between the station and the current center. The ambition is to further develop the area into a vibrant, attractive, and recognizable part of Waddinxveen, where living, meeting, and staying come together. The Sleutelkwartier consists of various sub-projects, which are in different phases of area development. From initiative and plan development to spatial procedures, contract formation, and preparation for realization.
This makes it a versatile and dynamic area development where spatial, financial, legal, and social interests converge. To ensure the continuity and progress of the ongoing projects, they are temporarily looking for a project manager for area development.
Working within the Sleutelkwartier Team
You will become part of the Sleutelkwartier team. Within this team, we work with a core team of project managers, under the direction of the area development project manager. Each project manager has their own sub-projects and responsibilities, but together we manage the coherence and result of the Sleutelkwartier as a whole. In the core team, they discuss the progress of the various sub-projects, make integral considerations, and align important choices, risks, and administrative issues. The developments within the Sleutelkwartier are closely related.
Choices within one sub-project can have consequences for the program, public space, finances, planning, or development strategy of another sub-project. This gives you a lot of independence and responsibility within your own projects, but you are explicitly not alone. Together with the other project managers and the project manager, you work towards one common goal: bringing the Sleutelkwartier step by step to a good and coherent result.
