Project overview

The energy transition is impossible without you as a project manager for the neighborhood approach. As a project manager for the neighborhood approach, you are responsible for the realization of all projects within a construction stream. You provide functional leadership to the project team and ensure strong collaboration between internal and external stakeholders. In a dynamic environment with diverse interests, you manage safety, planning, quality, risks, and costs. You ensure that projects are executed within the agreed GROTIK (Money, Risk, Organization, Time, Information, and Quality) frameworks.

You monitor progress, manage risks, and steer for efficient and safe execution. Together with the project team and our chain partners, you work towards successful results within the assigned plot. We are making the energy network of the future for everyone, with everyone. And as a project manager for the neighborhood approach, you play an important role in this.

You will be involved in: directing the preparation and execution of projects by the contractor; providing functional leadership to project teams; reporting on the progress and results of multiple projects within the portfolio; independently managing the project process and guiding teams in achieving tollgates; actively contributing to multidisciplinary construction teams and continuously improving collaboration and processes; representing Alliander within construction team agreements and negotiations; connecting involved parties and stimulating effective collaboration within the construction team; strengthening the safety culture within the project team.

And you will do that at our business unit Liander. Here you will be co-responsible for the management and maintenance of energy networks such as electricity and gas. This is how we supply energy to households, businesses, and other customers. You will work within the realization team that focuses on the energy transition in the Gelderland region. In this role, you will coordinate the neighborhood approaches within the villages and cities and ensure that projects run smoothly and according to plan.

You will work closely with colleagues from the intake department, project managers from the chain teams, and external stakeholders, such as municipalities. Together, you will ensure the successful execution of the various projects. The focus is on coordinating, planning, and realizing the neighborhood approaches in the districts. You will also work on pilots to improve and scale work processes with contractors. You make the network more energetic. Working on a future-proof organization. Great! Especially if you supplement this with: HBO work and thinking level, preferably in a technical or business administration direction. At least five years of experience with project management and effectively coordinating complex projects. Experience with or at a contractor. The ability to analyze data and translate it into concrete, executable plans and insights. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build sustainable relationships. Experience as a technical project manager within grid management or infrastructure projects, and familiarity with the dynamics of this sector.

Good Dutch communication skills, both written and spoken.

November 2, 2026 (December start also possible) Duration: Until October 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension or takeover. Hours: 32-40 hours per week Location: Duiven, Dijkgraaf 4. Wednesday in Duiven and Thursday at the contractor (varying location).

Maximum € 100 per hour Structure: ZZP (freelancer) possible, as well as secondment CV: To be submitted in Dutch.
