Project Manager Civil Engineering

Project overview

You are the Project Manager Civil Engineering, ultimately responsible for the agreed work result for projects related to the (re)design, development, and reconstruction of public spaces. With these types of projects, the focus is on achieving a result within defined frameworks, objectives, and resources. You will prepare the project assignment, manage, and report on the known GROTICK elements. In an infrastructural redesign assignment, various disciplines are represented. You will go through the phases by timely delivering the products agreed upon within the work phases, according to quality standards.

You are results-responsible for the final products linked to the Go/No Go moments to the next phase. You act sensitively to the environment, appropriately involving stakeholders based on the communication and participation strategy. Additionally, you will liaise promptly with the official client between technical, environmental, and political aspects.

In addition to the projects of Stadsbeheer, as a civil engineering project manager, you will advise the project manager within (area) developments. You will advise the project manager on both the technical and the 'grotic' aspects from the elements in the public space. For these projects, you will report to your client (Project Manager).

In the position of project manager, it is important that you show decisiveness and have a great sense of responsibility. This can manifest in your budget management or in appropriately involving stakeholders. You work in a structured, planned, and process-oriented manner and use your analytical skills to deliver a work result with colleagues that is optimally manageable. You will find your way well within our political-administrative organization and derive satisfaction from liaising with different departments.

Your communication skills align with this, and you are just as comfortable reporting in writing as you are informing stakeholders verbally.

The Stadsbeheer department has the mission: "Working together on the quality of the city." Within the Stad directorate, Stadsbeheer is the integrated management organization responsible for the policy, programming, and (direction of) the execution of all activities necessary for the management and maintenance of public spaces.

Stadsbeheer delivers a wide variety of services and products daily: from tree care to street sweeping, from public lighting to sewer management. Stadsbeheer does this for all people who live, work, or visit the city in Zoetermeer.

• Work is performed in a team.
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the last 8 years as a Civil Engineering Project Manager within a municipal organization.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable work experience in the last 10 years as a Civil Engineering Project Manager with the responsibility of managing work planners, designers, supervisors, and inspectors, and external engineering firms.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable work experience in the last 10 years as a Civil Engineering Project Manager within complex development projects (Building and Land Preparation BRM/WRM).
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the last 8 years with environmental management, including participation processes (clearly shown in the CV).
• Hourly rate maximum € 97.25 including travel costs home-work and fee Flextender / excluding VAT.
• Competitive fixed salary, depending on knowledge and experience;
