Jobbeschreibung

Wetterskip Fryslân is urgently seeking an experienced Project Manager for Integrated Water Management in the peat meadow area to take over an ongoing project. The role involves connecting diverse interests (water management, agriculture, nature, area development) and realizing project objectives, with a strong focus on stakeholder collaboration.

Project overview

Assignment Description

For Wetterskip Fryslân, we are urgently looking for an experienced Project Manager for Integrated Water Management in the peat meadow area who can take over an ongoing project at short notice.

Within the peat meadow area, diverse interests play a role in water management, agriculture, nature, and area development. The project manager is responsible for connecting these interests and achieving the agreed project objectives. An important part of this assignment is maintaining and strengthening the collaboration with farmers and other involved stakeholders. It is essential that the project manager possesses administrative and environmental sensitivity, can create support, and bring different interests together.

Furthermore, the design of water level management areas plays an important role. The client is looking for a project manager who takes an integrated approach to the water system, considers the desired coherence of water level management areas, and can constructively coordinate this with involved parties.

Because this is a replacement, we are explicitly looking for someone who can start quickly, operates independently, and can achieve progress immediately.

Activities

  • Taking over and continuing an ongoing project within integrated water management in the peat meadow area.
  • Monitoring and achieving the agreed project objectives, planning, and progress.
  • Maintaining and strengthening relationships with farmers, landowners, and other stakeholders.
  • Creating support for proposed measures and choices within water management.
  • Coordinating the design of water level management areas and ensuring a coherent, integrated approach.
  • Identifying bottlenecks, conflicting interests, and risks and translating them into workable solutions.
  • Coordinating with the program manager, internal specialists, and other involved parties.
  • Ensuring clear communication, concrete agreements, and timely feedback on progress.
